Archive Paper boat detail

Archive (Alloa Tower) takes the form of a history book encased in a display case and mounted on a lectern. The book contains “preserved” objects which make visual references to the history of both Alloa Tower and the town of Alloa itself.

The objects are displayed as museum pieces, inlaid in steel pages. Their value is defined by the uniqueness, presentation and the context within which they are read.

A small accompanying pamphlet which provides a key to the objects, referencing soundbite historical fact and hearsay from the mid Sixteenth Century to the present day.
